Knotice’s Ron Williams has done it all. He’s lived the Rock & Roll lifestyle, toured the country and promoted his various musical endeavors throughout the years.“We were being looked at pretty seriously by Atco, which was a subsidiary of Atlantic Records, because they were still trying to promote hard-rock acts,” said Williams. “But, things just didn’t pan out.” Ever the opportunist, Ron decided to focus his creativity and passion on art and design.
While serving as Assistant Art Director at Conceptual Impact, Ron helped design and implement both print and broadcast campaigns. Soon, he began to test the waters in an emerging medium – the Internet.
Looking back, Williams said, “I’ve always been into design, I just thought I’d be a rock star first. When that didn’t work, and the Internet was still in its infancy, I thought, ‘There’s something to this, and I can really apply my talent to it.’” After going back to school and earning a degree in Web Development, Ron is now a Production Designer at Knotice. He continues to prove that his creativity knows no bounds.
But that’s not the end of Knotice’s version of Behind the Music for Ron Williams. Not even close. He and several members of Lazarus have joined forces again to form The Huckin’ Fillbillys, an outrageous party band specializing in what he calls, “stuff that Joe Dirt would listen to.” Ron brings his heavy metal flair to work every day, and helps make sure that his creative continues to be, in the words of classic ’80′s band Extreme, “More than Words.”
Now that you know the story, we’re proud to unveil Ron’s new blog head shot. Coming soon to a blog post near you!
