Recently Knotice was the featured element of an article, rather than its author, thanks to an award the company received. Every year for the last 32 years the Weatherhead 100 list has been comprised of the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio. Knotice threw our hat into the ring in 2009 and was rewarded with a 12th place ranking on the list, and the highest ranking of any company in Akron. The key metric Weatherhead uses to select the winners is sales growth by percent. Knotice’s 415 percent sales growth over the past three years was enough to be recognized as Akron’s fastest growing company.
Knotice’s co-founder and CEO, Brian Deagan, was interviewed about what it means for Knotice to be included on this prestigious list:
“More than anything, it’s wonderful recognition for everyone who works at Knotice to be included in the top 15 of the Weatherhead 100. It would not have happened without everyone’s hard work, dedication, and the willingness to go above and beyond,” he said.
While sales growth seems to be an exclusive metric – designed only to measure organic or new business and largely attributed to the sales team – Brian is correct that everyone’s hard work is recognized. Great sales and company growth cannot happen without a great product to sell. A great product to sell cannot happen without great development and programming, great Professional Services and strategy, and a great roster of customers willing to explore creative new ways to rewrite their own sales record books.
