This is a posthumous victory for Jobs. He insisted that Flash on mobile was buggy and will become irrelevant due to native apps and the feature rich HTML supported on most mobile devices. It seems that even Adobe agrees. Some think the iPhone market share and complete lack of support may have played a role.
What does this mean for future mobile devices buyers where a “purchase point” for getting an android device was, “well at least it can do flash” is no longer relevant? Will this be a ding in the Android’s purchase appeal? We can only wait and see.
